Description: “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” A special assembly was conducted by the Kindergarten section on 1st October 2026 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The programme began with inspiring introduction lines by the K.G. students, followed by a Prayer Service. The Nursery students presented meaningful intentions, spreading messages of peace, kindness and cleanliness. The children then presented a beautiful poem on Gandhiji and his Three Monkeys, highlighting the values of “See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Speak No Evil.” This was followed by a Cleanliness Pledge, led by the K.G. students, encouraging everyone to keep their surroundings clean and contribute towards a better environment. The assembly concluded with inspiring ending lines by the students, followed by the National Anthem. As part of the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, a creative and meaningful activity based on the theme “Reuse and Recreate” was also conducted in the Nursery. The activity aimed to encourage children to understand the importance of reusing old and waste materials and giving them a new life. The little learners enthusiastically created paper bags, paper baskets and paper umbrellas using reused materials. Meanwhile, the K.G. students designed Khadi handkerchiefs, Gandhi caps, paper bags and Popsicle-stick boxes. With the guidance of their teachers, the children explored their creativity while learning valuable lessons about reusing, reducing waste and keeping their surroundings clean. The activity provided an enjoyable and engaging hands-on experience, helping our young learners understand that small efforts can make a big difference in caring for our environment and following the values of Mahatma Gandhi.
