Description: A CELEBRATION OF TALENT AND GRACE: The campus of Convent of Jesus and Mary Chelsea Shimla erupted with vibrant energy on Friday, 22nd May 2026, as it hosted a magnificent dual-sport and literary showcase: the St. Claudine Thévenet Inter-School Literary Competition and the St. Claudine Thévenet Inter-School Volleyball Competition, under the gracious supervision and guidance of our esteemed Principal, Sister Greta. Bringing together premier institutions from across the region, the day perfectly reflected the inspiring words of the Mother Foundress: “Let us do our best, and let us leave the rest to God.” The morning commenced beautifully with the traditional lamp lighting and a solemn rendition of St. Claudine Thévenet’s prayer. Evaluated by an elite jury comprising Dr. Vandana Thakur (Assistant Professor at HPU and renowned media personality) and Dr. Raksha Kalta (Assistant Professor of English at RKMV Shimla), the literary events pushed students to the absolute limits of eloquence. In the high-velocity Just A Minute (JAM) category for Classes 9 and 10, Rakshita Mehta of Saraswati Paradise International School captured the First Position, while Veeha Sharma from CJM Chelsea secured the Runner-Up spot. The auditorium then shifted to the emotional intensity of the Dramatic Monologue for Classes 11 and 12, where Palchin Angmo from DAV Public School, New Shimla, claimed First Position with a haunting solo performance, closely followed by Adaa Panta of CJM Chelsea as the Runner-Up. Simultaneously, the sports field witnessed high-octane athletic brilliance during the volleyball tournament. The matches culminated in a thrilling final clash where Loreto Convent Tara Hall emerged as the Winners, with CJM Chelsea securing the Runner-Up position. For her exceptional prowess and court control, Adhya Chauhan of Loreto Convent Tara Hall was rightfully crowned the Best Player of the tournament. The grand finale reached an unforgettable emotional peak during the prize distribution ceremony. As The Best School Trophy was awarded to, DAV Public School, New Shimla. Concluding with the school anthem, the twin events drew to a spectacular close—leaving behind an inspiring legacy of fierce talent, brilliant athleticism, and unparalleled sportsmanship.
