Description: Convent of Jesus and Mary, Chelsea Shimla celebrated Teacher’s Day with great joy and reverence on September 9, 2025, combining it with the feast celebration of Dina Belanger, a shining model of faith, love and sacrifice. The girls of Blessed Dina’s house hosted the event with great enthusiasm. The programme commenced with a melodious choir performance that set the tone of gratitude and devotion. A play on Dina Belanger was then staged portraying key moments of her life – her childhood, her passion for helping others, her unwavering devotion to Christ. The Teacher’s Day segment was filled with love and gratitude. Students offered cards as token of appreciation, and dedicated the play to their teachers’ tireless efforts in shaping students’ minds. To add vibrancy to the celebrations, students presented energetic classical and Bollywood dance that filled the auditorium with enthusiasm and appreciation. The event concluded with a heartfelt speech by Sister and a collective vote of thanks, where students acknowledged their teachers’ pivotal role in shaping their character.
