Description: As part of an initiative by the social service committee, Convent of Jesus and Mary school had the honour of welcoming students from ICSA Boys School Dhalli on 24th June, 2025. This institution works to uplift and empower students with visual, hearing and speech impairment. The event began with a heartfelt musical performance by visually impaired students, who sang melodious song while playing the harmonium, guitar and tabla. Next came a powerfuf mime art performed by a group of five hearing and speech impaired students, creatively depicting the beauty of religious diversity and secularism. Following this, one of their teachers ma’am Sulakshna Thakur, conducted a brief session on basic sign language, teaching the students of C.J.M how to express greetings and emotions through sign language. This interaction offered a small but meaningful step towards inclusive communication. The event concluded with an interview of four of the visiting students, conducted by the school editorial team. This conversation allowed us to hear their personal stories of strength, dream and the determination to overcome challenges most of us cannot imagine.
