Description: “If it’s free, you are the product” On 27th June, a seminar on ‘Drug Abuse, Cyber Bullying and Cyber Security’ was organised in the school auditorium for the students of classes VI to XII. The guest orators for the seminar was Mr. Vikas Chadha, Mr. Alok Tomar and Ms. Geetanjali. Seminar on cybercrime and cyber security was hosted by the “State Cybercrime branch.” The students were informed about how internet that has become important in our lives is also a threat to our personal information and data. It was a learning experience where students were made aware of the security features of all Android applications and gadgets that we use on daily basis. Students were made aware of different types of Cybercrimes that people fall prey to because of ignorance. It was an interactive session. Seminar on Drug Abuse was hosted by Ms. Geetanjali Thakur, who is presently serving in Shimla as DSP, enlightened the students about issues related to ‘Drug Abuse’, Its causes, its types, vulnerable groups, the drug menace in Himachal Pradesh, its prevention and awareness. PowerPoint presentation was shown to the audience. The queries of the students were also answered by the panel. The seminar was concluded with a vote of thanks.
