Description: On 30th of April an enlightening awareness session was organized in the school premises by the school principal sister Greta under the aegis of POCSO . The session witnessed the active and enthusiastic participation of students from classes 1 to 12, who engaged wholeheartedly in the interactive dialogue. The event was graced by two distinguished guests Dr.Rohini Rao , Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at IGMC, Shimla, who holds expertise in Artificial Reproductive Techniques and has over 21 years of experience in her field and Dr. Nidhi Jindal, Associate Professor at Kamla Nehru State Hospital, Shimla, specializing in high-risk pregnancies, infertility, and endoscopy, and actively involved in adolescent health and vaccination awareness.The key topics addressed during the session included: Menstrual Health & Hygiene,PCOS & PCOD,Reproductive Health,HIV/AIDS and Teenage Pregnancy The session emphasized the importance of open conversations, breaking societal taboos, and making informed health choices. It empowered students to understand their bodies better and inspired them to ask questions without hesitation. With such initiatives the school aims to promote health literacy among adolescents, eliminate stigma surrounding sensitive health topics, and foster an environment where students feel empowered to make informed and responsible choices.
