On 5th June, many of our students had the opportunity to participate in the “Chitta-Free Nation” Marathon organized by the Himachal Pradesh Police at Mall Road, Shimla. The event aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse, especially the growing menace of chitta, and to encourage people to lead healthy, drug-free lives. The marathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, police personnel, youth, old people and citizens from different walks of life. The atmosphere was filled with energy, determination, and a shared commitment to creating a society free from drug addiction. Participants carried the message that awareness, unity, and collective action are essential in combating substance abuse. The event also emphasized the importance of fitness, discipline, and community participation. By bringing people together for a meaningful cause, the Himachal Pradesh Police inspired everyone to become responsible citizens and ambassadors of a drug-free future. Participating in this marathon was a memorable and motivating experience. It strengthened our belief that every individual can contribute to building a healthier and safer society.
